Setsubun- Bean throwing festival

Yesterday was setsubun day. Did you eat your ehoomaki?
Setsubun is bean throwing festival on the day before the first day of spring in Japan. To ward off the evil spirits of demons. The Japanese people throw beans while saying "in with the fortune"

All the schools do this and many of the children are scared of the demons (Oni) and cry. Parents like to use it to keep the children from acting up.

I didn't throw any beans but I had an ehoomaki which is originally from Osaka but lately has become popular in Tokyo too.
